How to Get Ebooks for Less Than $2.99 or For FREE!

Hello everyone!

Some time ago I came across a webpage offering me daily offers on ebooks.

I love reading, so this is perfect for me!

If you like to read ebooks, or know anyone who does, keep reading!

I signed up with my email, chose what categories I’m interested in, and added a few authors I like, so they can base their recommendtations on my preference.

You can browse their categories on their webpage, or do as I do:

Every day I look forward for the clock to reach 4.50 PM,
when my email with my daily offers arrive in my inbox.

It’s like getting a gift – every day!

My daily offers are in the categories I have chosen,
or offers on authors I follow on their webpage.

Mainly, the offers are on fiction, but there are non-fiction too.

And, the best part:

The books are priced $0.99, $1.99, 2.99 OR for FREE!

Yes, you read it right!

A small paradise for booklovers!

The books can be bought through:
◊    Amazon (for Kindle, or Kindle app)
◊    Barnes & Noble Nook
◊    Apple iBooks
◊    Google Play
◊    Kobo

Here, I must note that not all the books are on offers on all platforms,
but I always find the offers on Amazon.
So, if you have a Kindle ereader, or their free app on your phone, you are good.

In your email,
just click on where you want to buy the book from,
and you get directed to their webpage.

Sign in to your account, and buy the book.
This goes also for the free ebook, which will be listed $0.00.

Download your new ebook in your app, or send it to your ereader.

Enjoy your new book!

Bye bye shaving gel

Like most people, I used to use shaving gel when I was to shave my legs.

I wasn’t too happy about it though,
because it made my skin itch, and become dry.

Not just that, that stuff is a bit expensive!
For something I didn’t even like.

What to do…

At some time, I even googled how I could make my own shaving gel.

There was some tips out there, including coconut oil and essential oils.

Just that, my skin was sensitive, and I didn’t feel like putting essential oils on it.
Plus, where I was living, I couldn’t easily get my hands on coconut oil.

From my google search, I also learned that many people have reported that after some time with coconut oil, their skin can’t take it anymore.
It’s not for everyone.

So, I forgot all about it.

I stayed with my shaving gel…

that was until about 4 months ago.

I stumbled upon a blog post on how to she used to shave her legs.

The girl used only home made body scrub and shower soap!

Could it be that easy?

I gave it a try, with my usual shower gel.

I could shave right after applying my shower gel,
and the result was amazing!

Not only did it work,
my skin felt softer,
even after the first time!

My legs used to be dry, all the time,
and now they’re soft and smooth.
I barely use body lotion anymore!

As a bonus,
I save money, and chemicals on my skin.

My shower soap and gel are equally gentle to my razor blades,
if not more gentle, than my shaving gel was.

I just shower normally,
and then put on some shaving gel or soap again, and shave.
Then I rinse my legs with water, and dry them up.

That’s it!

I hope that you will love this tip as much as I do!

Have a wonderful day!

YouTube Tip: Guided Healing Light Meditation

Hello everyone!
How are you?

I want to share with you a guided healing meditation, that I have used many times myself.

I came across it years ago, while browsing on YouTube.

The first time I listened to it, it spoke to me.
I felt it in my Soul and Spirit.
It felt so right.

This healing meditation was a keeper!

It’s perfect if you are new to meditation, or just want to relax and let your mind be guided.

It takes only 15 minutes,
and all you have to do is to find a quiet place, where you won’t be disturbed.

Sit or lie down, and and relax.

Put on your headphones, open the link, and push Play.

You find it here:
Healing Light Energy, Full Body Scan Guided Meditation

Give yourself a few minutes afterwards before you get up,
to let the meditation and healing settle in your body.

For sure my Soul is requesting this meditation at times.
Suddenly I hear it start playing it in my head.
I take the hint 😉

I hope you will enjoy it too! 🙂

Have a wonderful day!

Wire – Communication in Full Privacy

I want to share with you a new way of communicating in full privacy.

My Husband found this about two months ago, and we started using it together while we are at work.

Earlier, we used to use other apps to communicate, like Skype or Viber, when we were apart.
Viber was easy, and fun, with funny stickers, and previously there were animations you could record a message along with, and send.
We are both concerned about our privacy, but there weren’t that many ways out there, that were easy to use, looked good, with instant notifications, and ability to also make phone calls or video calls.
So, at times, we compromised ourselves, and let the easier way be the choice, when I was living abroad, away from my Husband.

Why should you care?

What is done online – either written, spoken or read – leaves information behind.
These trails of our activity stay stored, spread amongst servers globally.

So what, you may think..
I have nothing to hide.
Maybe so…
But if you believe the same rule applies in General, then you should stop locking the doors to your house, and probably remove the curtains too.

Many people misunderstand the Meaning of Privacy.
You don’t have to be a criminal or a terrorist or a whistleblower, to be concerned about your Privacy.
What you DO, is your OWN business and no one else’s
and it MUST stay like this.
Especially since Technology gives us the Tools to achieve that very easily.

All of your information lies on the hands of ISP’s, and corporations like Google, Facebook etc.

Well, 99% of the time, you have already silently consented to let these companies OWN your private information, in order to be able to use their services.
And they can sell it, if they want.
Or reveal it/disclose it, under certain circumstances.
Or companies change owners, and your data suddenly becomes an asset, on someone else’s hands.
Data, including a large part of your Life and Privacy.
Like WhatsApp, when they got sold to Facebook in 2014.
Or Instagram, also sold to Facebook, in 2012.
See for yourself: Facebook buys WhatsApp for $19 billion.

In these days, you have to look hard for someone not selling your information.

I know that, lately, most messenger apps claims to take your privacy seriously, and say that they are encrypting your messages.
This is true, on each receivers part.
However, your data on their servers might not be encrypted.
So, if anyone hacks their servers, they can get EVERYTHING.

Here is an overview over some of the most used instant messaging apps:secure_messaging_messure

Link to the page this is extracted from:
Overview of most common messaging apps used

This following link is to a similar overview:
Secure Message Guide
This page is – at the date of this blog post – waiting to upload a new overview. There has been one, and they are soon to post a new review.
So if it is just text when you check it out, come back at some other time.

My recommendation

Wire was launched in December 2014, with the goal of being the most secure messaging app, available on all platforms, open source, look good and also being dead-easy to use.
This is where most other secure messaging apps fail.
The users either don’t like the interface or the app itself is too hard to configure and use, and therefore won’t get their friends to use it also.
Personally, after discovering this app, I am getting all of my friends to use this one, and it seems to be a good choice, because everybody is loving it!

What I love about Wire is that I don’t have to give my phone number to create an account, like I had to on Signal.
You can create your account with just an email address, and if you feel like later on, you can add your phone number to see who else is on your contact list, that also uses Wire.

It’s open source!
Open what?
Open Source means that everybody can see the source code for this app – how it is built.
It also means that anyone who wants to, can take this code, and build from it.
No hidden secrets.
No hidden backdoors for the governments to spy on you.
That is the problem with Windows, Apple, Facebook, Skype, etc, they can do whatever they want behind your back, and you won’t even know it.
You will never know what kind of data they are actually getting from you.
Even if they say that your information is safe, you can’t know if the governments have requested a secret backdoor to your conversations, and information on your phone or laptop.

Wire is a European Company, based in Switzerland.
They are following Swiss and EU data protection laws.
Switzerland is known for strict privacy.

Wire is available on all platforms!
iOS. Android. Web. Windows. Mac. Linux.
Smartphone. Tablet. Laptop. Web.
My messages get synced immediately between all of my devices.
You forgot your phone, and are borrowing a laptop somewhere?
No problem, you can sign in from a web browser too!

And, it looks good!
On all of my devices.
Even on my Linux Desktop.

I can send secure messages, make high-quality phone calls and video calls in 1 app.
I can send documents, photos, share location, make drawings (even on a photo before I send it), make pings, send voice messages.
Securely and Free.
Just use your Internet connection.

For extra safety, I can choose to set my messages to automatically self-destruct, on both my end and the receivers end, in each conversation seperately.
I can choose between 5, 15 and 30 seconds, 1 and 5 minutes, and 1 day – or have it off.

Try it out yourself
